Arna J. Rice

Arna J. Rice was owner and operator of Rice N' Ribbon, a retail store with Bridal and Formal Apparel, located in Rockport, Indiana. Arna Rice began bringing to life the vision of her customers' dreams for their special occasion 47 years ago, before passing away on Feb 9th, 2022. Arna had such a love and passion for making her customers look and feel beautiful whether they were looking for a dress for a pageant, prom, wedding, mothers, or any other special occasion. Her daughter Amanda has taken over the business to continue the legacy that is known as Rice N' Ribbon. Arna was very active in the community, and wanted everyone to see the potential that she saw in Rockport. She was married for 48 wonderful years to her husband Michael. In her free time, she enjoyed giving back to the community, through her various memberships and boards she sat on, tending to her beautiful flower gardens, baking delicious treats for loved ones, and cruising on the motorcycle or in the Shelby to the car shows and cruise-in’s with her husband.  They have 2 children, Mark and Amanda and a Grandaughter Maddison. Arna left a lasting impression everywhere she went either through a warm embrace, infectious laugh or big smile she always had for someone she knew!
